Patients always ask me why they should purchase Himalayan pink salt over there regular table salt. I thought I put a little blog together to help outline the benefits of Himalayan salt.
Top 3 Reasons you should be using Himalayan pink salt:
1. Rich in minerals and elements: Himalayan pink salt has 84 essential minerals that your body requires. Table salt on the other hand, only has a few. The purifying process of table salt depletes it of its natural minerals. Himalayan pink salt has 15% trace minerals*; whereas, table salt has many additives including anti-caking compounds, iodide and fluoride in some cases (outside of US).

After the purification process, its treated with anti-caking agents to prevent the salt from mixing with water while in its container. The agents used clog our systems, deposit in our organs and tissues, leading to potential health issues. Lastly, the iodine used in table salt is synthetic, that our body cannot recognize.
