We often strive to manage our energy with a quick boost instead of a steady sustainable reserve. How do we achieve this state of good energy? Its simple! By "speaking" the language of your cells and tissues! Integrating vitamins and nutrients from plant-based foods can help tremendously improve your health! Choose Health! Here are 3 Important Reasons to eat a Plant-Based Diet: 1. Let's talk the language of love! ...For our cells and tissues at least! Plant-based foods are packed with ready fuel that our bodies can easily digest and assimilate! Foods that are not pack with dense nutrients creates minimal amounts of stress each time we eat. Imagine the deficit we create when we do not provide our bodies with what it needs to function daily or "translate" energy. Enzymes are used to break down foods and assist us in digestion. Plant-based foods are packed with enzyme rich nutrients. Enzyme rich foods are the languages our cells speak to carry out functions necessary for vital energy. 2. It's not a fair trade. Its a simple equation, we eat to make energy. However when we are having foods that spend more energy then creating it, we are left depleted. The best way to approach this is to eat foods that deliver what our body uses without taking extra steps to accomplish that. Foods that are processed and packed with preservatives confuse our biological systems. This confusion comes with a price called fatigue, restless sleep, agitation, poor digestion, mental fog, skin discoloration, and migraines to name a few. We are medical TIME BOMBS! 3. Clean eating promotes mindful choices and health. As I mentioned above, highly processed and refined foods require a significant energy expenditure to break down. Plant-based foods supply a rich source of some of the many vitamins including:
These vitamins assist digestive enzymes, stabilize hormones, and reduce stress. I have included a YouTube video called Plant-Strong and Healthy Living. Rip Esselstyn gives a candid and realistic approach to the Plant-Based diet. I highly recommend viewing his video. Remember, you do not have to be a full-time vegetarian, vegan or raw-enthusiast to incorporate this into your life. You can begin with "Meatless Mondays" then slowly challenge yourself for 14 days on a plant-based diet then eventually 21 days of plant-based foods. Habits create health. Be kind to yourself and allow for the transition. To learn more, please visit these resources:
